Kate is now second guessing her marriage to Jon but what she should really reconsider is her small town, pixie-cut hairstyle. Manhunt on for Dog Thrower

People at a beach in England watched in horror a man throwing his dog in a choppy ocean and then pull the dog out by his neck:

"I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing. The dog just went flying with its legs out in the air until it hit the water.

'The guy's other dog was already in the sea swimming, but this one had no choice - it was going in whether it liked it or not."

The police were called, but did not arrive in time. An anonymous witness took these shots and handed it over to officers.

Lady Gaga Plays Piano Poker Face on Ellen

Lady Gaga played on her piano again much to the dismay of her audience. Instead of a multiplying bubble suit, though, Gaga looked like a hobo in patchwork suit channeling more vaudevillian times. The only thing I will give to her about her performances is at least she is really singing. Christina Aguilera is still a better singer than Lady Gaga, but Lady Gaga beats Britney [Christina Aguilera > Lady Gaga > Britney Spears]. There. I said it.

Death Cab for Cutie Interview

The band members got together 10 years ago while attending Western Washington University, but they were not in it for "world domination." They only wanted to make music and make a living. Death Cab for Cutie band members spoke with CNN days before their most recent tour ended for their latest album, "Narrow Stairs":

CNN: Talk to me about the band's name, which was selected by Ben Gibbard, Death Cab for Cutie's founder. If you could turn back the clock, would you go with something different?

Chris Walla: [Ben] was in a "Magical Mystery Tour" all-the-time kind of phase. He made a grand proclamation from the couch at one point that if he ever had another band, he was going to call it Death Cab for Cutie.

Nick Harmer: Knowing what we know now, Ben has said that he would love to have shortened it somehow to a snappier name. We joke about changing it.

CNN: To what?

Chris Walla: Exactly! All the band names are taken.

CNN: Why release an EP (extended play; more than a single but less than a full-on album) right now? Is it a taste of things to come?

Harmer: We've always treated the EP as kind of a side dish to the main course during an album cycle. These are songs that were recorded at the same time as the songs that made the album "Narrow Stairs." They're sort of part of this chapter of the band.

For us, it's a nice way to have some new songs to play on tour, kind of get some new material in the world and keep things interesting. We recorded them. They were finished. It would be kind of weird to leave them on a reel someplace.

CNN: How has the state of the economy, if at all, affected your tour and plans?

Walla: This tour has done really, really well for us. If anything, I think that we're more mindful of just the fact that in a world of so many entertainment choices how amazing it really is to be on a really successful, solid, good tour.

Harmer: We really haven't seen an impact. I expected there to be one, to be honest, but all the numbers are pretty consistent with all the touring numbers we've ever done.

CNN: Let's talk a bit about the persona of indie rock musicians: the depression, the melancholy, the darkness. What do your parents make of this? Are there any issues you'd like to discuss?

Walla: Our parents are all terrible people. We all came from broken homes. (laugh)

Harmer: We cry a whole lot ... (laugh)

Walla: It's not by design. We have great families. We have great homes. It's sort of hard to explain, I guess. ... We do this because music totally moves us in a complete and absolute sort of way. It ends up just coming out in heart-on-your-sleeve, heavy, sort of really personal ways.

Harmer: I've always felt like it's more about the bittersweet qualities of life than it is about the dark brooding. ... It's more about just being honest about the different stations that you find yourself in in life.

CNN: What bands are you listening to these days? Who do you really like?

Harmer: That's the thing about being on the road with so many people that are music fans. There's always a new record that someone's found that we're listening to. Ben is really kind of always combing through old records. I think [Walla] and I probably do more on the what's new and what's out in the world. The Gaslight Anthem, I hear them all the time now.

Walla: Yeah, the Gaslight Anthem record's great. There's a band from Seattle called the Lonely Forest whose record I just picked up. They're a new band, it came out few weeks ago, and that's totally doing it for me right now. ... Telekinesis from Seattle, the new Metric record I think is great. Those are the big ones right now.

CNN: Tell me about your political involvement and your backing of causes. (Walla, for example, got involved in the Obama campaign and has done some work for PETA.)

Walla: It's little things here and there, which is sort of how I feel activism should work. You can't do everything all the time, but you can do what you can when you can. I wish I could do more, but ... not everybody can be Bono.

Cher Tries to Turn Back Time

Singer Cher brought back her famous sheer outfit at the age of 62 about 20 years after she first debuted the sheer costume. The outfit was almost an exact replica of the first one, but this one had a little more sparkles with a wider crotch. Her body looks amazing for her age, but Cher's hair needs its own stylist.

Victoria "Posh" Beckham actually looked like a normal woman without her makeup, $20,000 Birkin bag, and Christian Louboutin shoes. Posh is a member of the exclusive Beverly Hills Sports Club L.A. and runs about 8 miles a day on the treadmill. One member said about Posh:

Miss California Naked Photo Could Mean Crown

Miss California's racy photos taken before her crown, may now cost her the California crown:

"Calls for her dethronement took on renewed energy this week when at least two photos of Prejean from a lingerie modeling session were published online, which Neal said violated the contract she signed to be in the pageant."

Miss Malibu, the runner-up is completely ready to take over the crown:

Mis California, Carrie Prejean, admits she was naive when she took the photos. The photographer claimed that he could help make her a Victoria Secret model. Prejean feels that if it was a different person, these photos would not have stirred controversy. These pictures, she said are a:

"vicious and mean-spirited" effort to silence her for "defending traditional marriage." She vowed to "continue to support and defend marriage as the honorable institution it is."

Sheryl Crow and Jennifer Aniston should get together so they can have a tear fest over their inability to get married nor sperminated. Lance Armstrong, Crow's ex-boyfriend revealed in his upcoming book that Crow desperately wanted to get married and have children. But what he really meant to say was that he wanted children, just not from Crow. Beware of Texting Prostitots

Prostitots are young teens who wear very little clothing at parties and are usually dressed in an outfit that looks like and is most likely to contain underwear or leggings from "Hot Topic." Teens have now expanded their taste for baring it all by text messaging, called "sexting." Senders of these texts especially from underage girls who might be nude or partially covered are being warned that they could be prosecuted:

Nicole Richie Keeps Slim while Pregnant

Nicole Richie is staying healthy during her pregnancy by taking pilates classes during her second pregnancy. Pilates are supposed to also help to make for an easier pregnancy, delivery, and recovery. Paris Hilton Honeymoon's with Boyfriend

It seems like 28 year-old Paris Hilton and her new boyfriend 23 year-old Doug Reinhard are inseparable. The two have fast forwarded already to a full blown island vacation honeymoon. Paris doesn't waste anytime and gets what she wants, but is she hurting the new relationship by moving too quickly...probably!

Hoards of hungry Kentucky Fried Chicken patrons flooded their local KFC to enjoy a free lunch on Oprah, who announced on her Tuesday show that she was buying the country lunch. The KFC coupon good for 2 two pieces of grilled chicken, two individual side orders and a biscuit, was up for 24 hours after the airing of the show:

Kate Reacts to Affair and Jon Hides Out

Kate Gosselin from TLC's "Jon and Kate Plust 8," addressed the recent news behind her husband Jon Gosselin's alleged affair with a 23 year-old teacher on the Today show. Meredith Vierra interviewed the mother of 8 who agreed that all this negative publicity has been hard on her family. Kate stands behind Jon, but did not confirm nor deny the affair:

"We're dealing with it privately. It's kind of ironic since we do have a reality show and people see the good, the bad and the ugly. But there are those things we keep to ourselves, and we're working through it together, and that's the important thing."

Our kids are centrally in our focus, they always have been. They are very much loved, very well cared for...that will be how it's going to be.

We're not perfect. I don't have all the answers... We're doing our best and learning how we go. We just need to weather this storm, just like all the other storms we've been through."

Jon cancelled his appearance and chose to stay home instead with the kids:

"These allegations are false and just plain hurtful. As I adjust to the attention that comes from being in the public eye, I need to be more careful and aware of who I am associating with and where I am spending my time. But the bottom line is, I did not cheat on Kate. I am sorry for putting my family in this awkward position, given some poor decisions and bad judgment I've made recently. 23 year-old Cassie Ventura, Puff Daddy's latest protege, had a startling discovery when she found out that her computer had been hacked, leaking naked photos of the pop singer. Cassie is best known for her R&B hit, "Me & U." In her own defense, Cassie wrote on her Twitter:
